New Year, New Room? That can only mean one thing..

It's time for a room makeover! It's time to change, make an environment where you can feel you creative juices flow. It was time for a change, so this is how I did it.
How I turned this

Into this

ALL FOR UNDER $300
To start, I painted about 2 1/2 feet up from the carpet black using a $5 gallon of paint I bought from Michael's Crafts Store using a 50% off coupon and cheap masking tape from the dollar store.

Next came the brick wallpaper, originally I was going to use contact paper, until I found teacher's bulletin paper in my desired print at Michael's Craft Store. I bought three rolls for under $12 using coupons.

I only ended up using one roll, to cover 2 walls in my room up to the door frame. I did not go higher because I'm only 5'6 with 12 foot ceilings and no ladder. That's just a personal choice.

To hang the wall paper on the wall, I lined it up to my bathroom door and pinned it using clear thumb tacks from the dollar tree. After, I was going to go in with double sided tape once I liked the look but decided against it, being as I will be moving out in the next year so I can reuse the paper in my next place. You can't see the tacks unless you're looking for them, so it's a win win for me.
I bought a $40 basic metal bed frame from Walmart and all my bedding from Marshall's. Most of the budget went to my bedding since I had not bought a new set in over 18 months, that came out to $175.
The makeshift nightstand is actually a craft cart I got at Michael's for $25 using my mother's teacher discount. These are always on sale for $30 and come in a variety of colors. I keep my favorite books in it, because I like to read before bed.

Now the wall hangings I made and the bench in-font of my bed I've had for years. That is where I keep my undergarments, and sleep-ware. I bought it from Marshall's for $130, I don't count it in the budget because I had it already.

That's It! So easy, there is an in depth tutorial on my youtube page linked in my socials!
So simple, dorm room friendly and even the puppers love it!
