DIY Donut Wall I under $50

My name is Serenity and I love donuts, they are actually one of my favorite desserts of all time and that is saying something because I bake, so I am constantly around freshly made treats!

The time came where I felt like I needed to make a Donut Wall just to have in my arsenal for all the parties I host. *Note the sarcasm, I'm a recluse. So let's get into how you can make your own donut wall!

Above are the supplies you are going to need. I found all of my supplies at Micheal's Craft Store and The Home Depot where they cut my pegboard into 2 pieces. Making my pegboard 2 feet by 2 feet after being cut in half.

We are going to start by painting the wooden 2 x 4 and wooden plaque to the color of our choice and letting them dry completely. Skip this step if you are going for that natural wood look to the finished product of your board.

Once our 2x4 wooden pieces are dry, we are going to attach them to the pegboard using wood glue and super glue. Once all four sides have been glued, I am using clamp clips to hold the wood 2 x 4's against the pegboard while the glue dries overnight. I also attached the middle plaque to the center of the pegboard.

While I wait for the glue to dry I am using my Cricut to cut out the message I want on the center of my plaque in vinyl, which is the word 'Donut'. I used Metalic Textured Vinyl in an off gold color because I wanted it to subtly pop against my donut wall.

Once the glue has completely dried, I am removing the clamps on all four sides and prop my wall against the wall so I am able to attach my vinyl sticker into the center plaque. Then I am taking the wooden sticks and placed them sporadically throughout the board. I chose not to glue my sticks in the holes being as eventually after a couple of uses you will have to replace the sticks, glue will just get in the way of this.

Also being able to remove the sticks, add more or less depending on how many donuts I want to place on the board, storing the board is easier when it is essentially just a wooden board that can fit in the crevices of a room for storage.

The last step is to add your donuts. Funny enough, I bought a dozen donuts to place on my donut wall and show its full potential but my family ate 7/12 of those donuts by the time I went to get the box. So please enjoy my 5 sad sour cream donuts.

There we have it! Our completed donut wall! What do you think? I love the simplistic clean look even if I only have five sad donuts on mine for now!

If you recreate this DIY let me know by sharing a picture over on my socials! If you are a visual learner there is a full tutorial over on my youtube channel! Go check it out!

All The Love,

Serenity G. Patrick
