DIY CHIP BAGS TUTORIAL │CREATEMAS 2021

Updated: Dec 15, 2021

I know we have seen chip bags everywhere, on tik tok, Instagram, and maybe even Facebook! Today, I am teaching you all my trade secrets, and how to make perfect treat bags every time! With a free template and Nutrition Facts Templates! Everything you need to know is how to make a profitable easy craft.

Above are the supplies you will need. To start, I am opening my design app of choice: Keynote, the MacBook version of PowerPoint. However, you are can use any type of design app of your choice, such as Adobe Photoshop, PicMonkey, etc.

Opening up a Keynote document with them pixel dimensions of 1024 x 768, the size of your standard printer paper. I'm going to upload my chip bag template into the my presentation, resize, then get to design keeping the guide lines in mind while I edit. Keep in mind that the nutrition facts label goes on the far right side portion of the template because when assembled the nutrition facts will be on the far left, just like real bags of chips. The far left is where your personal message will go. Here is what my completed design looks like.

When done with your design, export the image to your computer and now it is time to print your masterpiece in the making. Make sure to load your photo glossy paper before you print. Change the printing setting on Macbook to 74% page fill, and photo glossy paper best print quality to get the highest quality print possible.

After printing it is time to assemble, you are going to cut off the small white side on the right using your paper cutter.

Then using your hot glue gun, rolling the paper in a roll like shape, and gluing on the large white side where your image isn't printed.

Once the glue is completely cooled, place your chip bags that are an 1oz or less in the tube, glue the top, once it's dry, glue the bottom. Last step is to trim the top and the bottom with your zig zag scissors to give your chip bags that more authentic look and eliminate the last of the white border that was there when we printed .

There you have it, your gorgeous chip bags! Here is what mine look like completed.

I hope you enjoyed, there is also a video on my youtube channel with more in depth tips, and if your a visual learner, it would be right up your alley. Stay tuned for more CreateMas Crafts, Diy's Bakes and more!

All the Love,

Serenity G. Patrick
